yeah, pretty cringeworthy stuff alright. It's just the 'emotion' of the moment though. I like Kate Winslet normally. I thought Mickey Rourke's acceptance speech was suitably understated and mentioning the Boss was righteous!

She is a very good actress but not necessarily interesting or clever, as far as i know she says the words someone else wrote and does what someone else tells her to do.
